January Crime Report

Another great week with no home burglaries and no UBEVs.

In the past 5 weeks we have experienced 1 home burglary.  In the same period a year ago we experienced 10 home burglaries.

In the past 5 weeks we have experienced 5 UBEVs (Unlawful Breaking and Entering Vehicles).  In the same period a year ago we experienced 15 UBEVs.

Below is a summary of miscellaneous incidents:

We had a theft case where the victim had argued with his boyfriend and he suspects that the boyfriend stole his laptop.

There was a theft case on Cromwell Drive .  The victim stated that she last saw her silverware on Thanksgiving Day.  Numerous workers have been in the house since that day. Continue reading

Ollie Irene Set to Open in former Browdy’s location

Mountain Brook native Chris Newsome, Anna Lakovitch and their team are working away to get Ollie Irene open very soon.

Crestline’s Fourth of July parade

Crestline neighbors gather for a parade of decorated bikes, wagons and a few boxcars each Fourth of July. Four or five streets in the Mountain Lane and Mountain Park Drive area come together with between 25 and 50 kids to kick off the patriotic holiday with a bang.

“People here definitely make the most of the Fourth,” said Betsy Burkhart, a mom of two who has lived in the area for nine years. Continue reading
