Blue bows to support Sean Fredella

Sean Fredella, the son of Nell and Todd, hopes to return home from receiving cancer treatments in Houston the week of Christmas, and the community wants to greet him with bows in his favorite color: blue.

Hannah and Courtney Niemann came up with the idea to sell blue bows to support their friend, Sean Fredella. Photo courtesy of Laura Niemann.

Sean is a fifth grader at Mountain Brook Elementary; his brother Ryan attends the junior high and Patrick the high school.

All proceeds from the sale of the bows will go toward Sean’s family’s medical expenses.

Laura Niemann, whose family goes to St. Francis Xavier with the Fredellas, and her daughters are making the bows and organizing the sale. In fact, it was sisters Hannah and Courtney’s idea to make the bows for Sean from the start.

“My kids wanted to do this to show Sean encouragement when he gets home,” Niemann said.

The bows are for sale at The Scribbler, 42 Church Street, and there will be a table set up in front of Snoozy’s in Crestline Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to purchase them.

The Niemanns have been selling them at church and schools for the past couple of weeks.
